As part of our early research phase, we have developed a preliminary questionnaire to explore users’ connections with nature, emotions towards animals, and views on folklore and the supernatural. This step is crucial for guiding the development of our VR narrative.
Why We’re Doing This
We opted to use storyboards instead of a full VR setup to quickly gauge user reactions to our story concepts. This approach allows us to collect valuable feedback without the complexity of developing a complete VR environment first.
Where and Who
We are conducting these initial tests at Central Saint Martins (CSM) and London College of Fashion (LCF) to benefit from diverse, creative perspectives. The feedback from these audiences, who are generally less familiar with VR, will help us ensure our VR content is engaging and accessible.
Next Steps
After analyzing the feedback from about 20 participants, we’ll refine our storyboard and prepare for the next phase of our project, which includes more detailed VR development. This early testing helps us avoid unnecessary revisions later and ensures our VR experience resonates well with our target audience.
