I designed a mixed-display game


1. Fox Fairy – Treasure Hunt Experience

Experience Design:

  • In the Fox Fairy experience, players use mixed reality to hunt for virtual treasures hidden around their home, guided by AR clues.
  • Treasures are strategically placed beneath real-world objects, like furniture, using spatial mapping technology.

Technical Implementation:

  • We’ve utilized Unity’s AR Foundation to detect and overlay virtual treasures within the physical space.
  • Interaction models allow players to “unearth” treasures using gestures captured by Oculus Quest 3 controllers, creating a tangible connection between the virtual and real world.

2. Yellow Fairy – Virtual Gardening Experience

Experience Design:

  • Players engage in virtual gardening, planting and cultivating crops influenced by real-world environmental conditions such as sunlight.
  • The health and growth of the plants depend on the player’s care, mimicking a realistic gardening experience.

Technical Implementation:

  • Light sensors or data from mobile devices adjust the growth parameters of virtual plants based on real-time environmental light exposure.
  • AR visualizations display plant growth and health, enhancing user interaction with virtual horticulture.

3. Snake Fairy – Medicinal Quest Experience

Experience Design:

  • This experience tasks players with healing a virtual creature using correct medicinal herbs, correlated with objects found within their home.
  • It includes an educational AR interface for identifying plant properties, making learning seamless and interactive.

Technical Implementation:

  • Object recognition technology identifies real-world items representing virtual medicinal herbs.
  • Voice recognition allows players to verbally confirm their selections, enhancing the interactive process and engagement.

4. Python Fairy – Virtual Aquatic Ecosystem Management

Experience Design:

  • Players create and maintain a virtual aquatic ecosystem within a real-world water container, like an aquarium.
  • The experience requires players to balance water quality and ecosystem health through interactive challenges and regular maintenance.

Technical Implementation:

  • AR overlays integrate virtual elements with real water containers, reacting to changes in the physical environment.
  • Sensors monitor real-world water quality indicators, dynamically affecting the virtual ecosystem.

5. White Fairy – Defensive Strategy Game

Experience Design:

  • Players set up defenses in their living space to protect a virtual valuable object from incoming virtual enemies.
  • The setup involves using household items as barriers or traps, requiring strategic placement based on the room’s layout.
