As we continue to evolve our mixed reality (MR) project, I’ve taken a closer look at the specific interactions within the environment to ensure they are intuitive and enhance the narrative depth of our experience. Here’s an update on how these interactions are designed and the magical elements they bring to our immersive world.
Detailed MR Interactions
Candle Light Interaction:
Trigger Mechanism: Lighting a virtual candle within the MR environment initiates a series of events. This action symbolically “lights up” the story, setting the stage for further interactions and revealing hidden elements within the space.
Ink Drawing Display:
Visual Revelation: Upon lighting the candle, mystical ink drawings appear, serving as a backdrop that guides the narrative flow. These drawings provide visual cues and story elements that enrich the user’s understanding of the unfolding tale.
Touch Interaction with Elemental Gods:
Each of the five elemental gods represented in the experience can be interacted with by touch. This interaction reveals specific “powers” or key attributes associated with each deity, enhancing the storyline and user engagement:
Touch the Hedgehog: Reveals a medicinal bag, symbolizing healing and health.
Touch the Mouse: Triggers a vision of the future, presented through a VR video that provides foresight into potential story developments.
Touch the Fox: Causes food to appear, representing nourishment and survival.
Touch the Snake: Grants the ability to grab objects from a distance, adding a layer of interaction and utility.
Touch the Weasel: Enables the user to view more objects within the MR space, expanding the visual and interactive scope.
